Who Are They?
Who are they?
Sits the question in my head
Like a person but also not
All grey and scaly rot
To work they go, like mortals
Some swift and some are slow
Farming for their sustenance,
Though they need not for bread
Quiet now I hear the beast,
And I am shaken from my bed
Who ARE they? I ask aloud
And moaning is his reply
I wish I’d asked him more
Before he fed, but alas I am
dead.

Essays and The Batman
Writing a 4 page paper for my English 1B class. It's due in 10 hours. I'm on page 2.5. So far, to fuel my writing, I have watched Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. I wish I could write my essay on Batman. He is my favorite super hero, simply because there's nothing super about him. He is a common man with an uncommon goal. And he has the iron will to strive to accomplish his goal. I wish I had the same constitution. Here I am, it's 2:00 AM, I should be asleep, or at least writing the paper I mentioned, and all I can to is examine the expansive history of The Caped Crusader. It has definitely been decided that I will be Batman for Halloween this year. I have some interesting ideas, some of which I will need the help of a couple close friends to achieve. but it will be well worth it.
I am also playing through Batman: Arkham Asylum on the XBOX 360. such an amazing game. the cinematic fighting coupled with the sheer variety of environments and puzzle like maps leaves me begging for more. I do wish there were less cutscenes though. It seems like every five minutes I am running into a scene which takes me out of the game more than I would prefer (though they are amazing, and I am becoming obsessed both with the cowl and his nemesis).
Well, I am going back to my paper. Hopefully this brief respite will grant me the momentum I need to knock this out of the park. Oh, by the way. a welcome back to myself, it's been quite a while since I last posted. See you soon.
